For best care of your gentle cycle clothing,
Ivory Snow recommends:
- Sort your laundry
- By color: Wash separate loads for whites, light colors,
similar bright colors and similar dark colors. Brand new dark
colors should be washed alone for the first time.
- By fabric: Wash delicates separately. Lint-shedding fabrics,
such as towels, flannels, some bedspreads and robes, should
not be washed with lint-attracting items, such as corduroys
or velours.
- Pretreat or presoak if necessary
- Pretreat small stains. Apply undiluted liquid Ivory Snow
directly to the stain. Allow product to soak in, then gently
rub.
- Presoak deep-set soils, old stains or extensive staining.
Soak items in a solution of non-chlorine bleach and the hottest
water safe for the fabric.
- Choose the right water temperature
- Warm Water is usually best for permanent press, synthetic
(nylon, acrylic, polyesters) and delicate fabrics.
- Cold Water is usually safest for non-colorfast items. It
also minimizes wrinkling of synthetics. Always rinse clothes
in cold water. Keep in mind that no detergent cleans well
in water with temperatures less than 60 degrees F.
- Always read the garment care labels
- Always check and follow the care label on each garment.
The care label will tell you exactly how to best care for
your garment.
- Start washer, add detergent, and add clothes
- As your washer begins to fill with water, measure and add
Ivory Snow to the washer. Then add your clothes.
Ivory Snow is safe for all colorfast fabrics. Here is a quick colorfast
