Ivory Bars Extend More than 101 Times Around the Earth!
Since the first Ivory bar was introduced in 1879, Americans have used approximately 40 billion bars of Ivory Soap. If lined up, these bars would be approximately 2,525,253 miles long or would circle the earth almost 101 ½ times!

Ivory – It’s a Hit!
The first Ivory television commercial aired in 1939 only five months after television was introduced in the U.S. The ad for Ivory appeared during the first televised major league baseball game, where the Cincinnati Reds faced the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Soap that’s a Cut Above
The first Ivory Soap sculpture contest took place in 1924 and spurred soap competitions that spanned the next 63 years and included displays at Lord & Taylor and numerous replicas of the Empire State Building.
