| What could be more fun than a family sailboat race
using Ivory Bars – Remember, “It Floats!” Try this
in your bathtub or outdoors!
Create Your Own Ivory Bar Sailboat Regatta
What You’ll Need to Begin:
• A bar of Ivory Soap for each family member
• Toothpicks or wooden skewers (for longer sails)
• Construction paper and scissors
• Markers
• Tape or glue
What to Do:
• Create a sail for your boat using the construction paper
and markers. Make the sail in the classic triangle shape. Experiment
with rectangle or square shapes. Customize it with markers.
• Tape or glue your sail to the toothpick or wooden skewer.
• Have an adult family member help you insert the toothpick
into the flat, long side of an unwrapped bar of Ivory soap. Take
care to only push the skewer halfway through the bar.
Now, You’re Ready to Race!
• Line up all family member boats in the bathtub, sink or
outdoor wading pool or stream.
• Race the boats by blowing on your sail to make your Ivory
Soap Boat move forward.
